Spring cleaning can be an absolute nightmare for everyday life, let alone doing the process for your sex toys, so I came up with simple steps you can follow to make the process of clearing out, cleaning up, and storing your collection that is totally painless and may even prolong the life of your toys if done properly!

Step 1: Pull out your entire collection of toys, lubes, toy cleaners, and other enhancements. Check the expiration dates of supplements and throw out expired ones. Check the condition of lubricants and throw out empty or leaking bottles. Take stock of which toy cleaners you are running out of and need to stock up on.

Step 2: Check out your sex toy collection specifically and see what is falling apart and what needs to be cleaned. If you have toys that are degraded, throw them out. Degraded toys can house bacterial and infection and the more degraded they are, the more unsanitary so toss them!

Step 3: Clean what needs a good cleanse with your preferred toy cleaner or lukewarm water and gentle antibacterial soap. If you have any cyberskin or fauxskin style toys, you’ll want to let them dry completely before re-powdering them to maintain texture and feel. Some silicone toys can be put right into your dishwasher and steam cleansed, but PVC toys must be cleansed with a toy cleaner or lukewarm water and antibacterial soap. Let everything dry completely or towel dry thoroughly.

Step 4: Arrange and organize your collection of toys, lubricants, condoms and supplements in a cool, clean place. You can choose to keep them out in the open, in a dresser drawer, or in a plastic container. There are also medium sized trunks and ottoman style stools which you can purchase that come with lock and keys so you can keep your collection discreet and private!

Step 5: Time to shop! Now that you’ve cleared out your collection, I bet you have tons more space that needs filling up (if you know what I mean ;-))! Now’s the time to pick up new lubricants, stock up on condoms, new supplements to try, and some fun new toys to add to your stash!
