3 Fall Recipes for Better Sex

As fall approaches, or maybe has already reached you, we all stop to breathe in the crisp fall air and note the changing of the leaves and the blossoming of great fall foods that never fail to invoke many memories of the autumn and winter seasons of years passed. Inspired by the coming fall season, I came up with 5 delicious and simple recipes for a totally sexy fall season with your honey or man of the moment (or woman!). Enjoy these with someone you love and indulge in the after-effects of these aphrodisiac-filled dishes!

Simple Avocado Salad

Magical Ingredients: Olive Oil, Onion and Avocado. Avocados were often thought of by Aztecs and Mayans as helpful for increasing sexual desire as well as a natural cure for erectile dysfunction. It seems they weren’t too far off the mark either. Essential fatty acids and omega 3’s are key components in sex hormones which makes both olive oil and avocado perfect to get you and your partner in the mood. Ancient Greeks considered onions and garlic to be aphrodisiacs as well and believed that they offered many therapeutic health benefits.

Ingredients: 4 Avocados, 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil, 1 Teaspoon Garlic Salt, and (optional) 1/4 yellow or sweet maui onion

Directions: Slice Avocados into 1/8 slices lengthwise and lay them out on a serving plate. If you choose to use utilize onion in your dish, slice long thin strands of onion and garnish over the top of the avocado. Sprinkle the garlic salt over the entire dish, drizzle it all with olive oil, and enjoy!

**Note: Avocados are available in most of the Southwest USA year-round, but if you have trouble getting them in the winter, try one of our other fun fall recipes below instead!**

Easy Chocolate Ganache Mousse w/ Fall Berries

Magical Ingredients: Dark Chocolate and Various Fall Berries! Dark Chocolate has been touted as an aphrodisiac since Mayan times, often used to increase sexual desire and encourage happiness. This is because it contains a compound called methylxanthine which releases dopamine into the body and has a sedative-like and relaxing effect on its consumers. Various fall berries such as strawberries, blackberries, blueberries or raspberries have all been believed to have aphrodisiac properties as they are high in antioxidants and are known to help increase circulation in the blood to get your heart pumping!

Ingredients: 9 Ounces Dark or Semi-sweet (if you dislike dark) Chocolate Chopped (May also use morsels), 1 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream, An Assortment of your favorite Fall Berries, and (optional) 1 teaspoon of Disarronno (Almond flavored) Liquor.

Directions: Boil the heavy whipping cream in a small pan. Pour chocolate into a glass or stainless steel mixing bowl. Pour boiling cream over chocolate and mix until all chocolate is melted and all cream is evenly distributed. Add 1 teaspoon of disarronno if you like and distribute into the mixture. Pour this into a chocolate or cake mold, a small glass bowl or evenly distribute into several wine glasses if you want to be decorative. ( you may also let cool first in a bowl, re-mix once mixture has set and then process mousse through a cake pipe into dessert cups or small glasses.) Let cool for 1-2 hours or until ready to serve. Rinse your chosen berries and garnish mousse accordingly. Enjoy!

**Note:You do NOT have to use berries on your mousse. I use them because I love mixed berries and because they are in season where I live. You can use any citrus fruit (oranges, tangerines, etc.), cherries, cranberries, mixed berries, in season pears, or simply add your favorite nuts (Almonds or Walnuts work well!).**

Pumpkin Spice Latte

(Source:https://blogs.babble.com/family-kitchen/2010/10/12/pumpkin-spice-latte-starbucks-copycat/ Angie McGowan on Babble’s Food Blog)

Okay so I’m just not THAT good at making coffee. I went ahead and hi-jacked this recipe from Babble’s Food Blogger Angie McGowan because she’s truly an inspiration with recipes and I felt a real compulsion to push this delicious recipe out into the world for others to enjoy. She claims it has been adapted from The Kitchen’s Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe. That being said, it has just the magical touches to make this drink the perfect go-to drink before any early morning romp!

Magical Ingredients: Pumpkin, Cinnamon and Vanilla. The scents of all 3 of these invoke sexual desire in both men and women, but did you know that research shows that the scent of pumpkin (specifically that Pumpkin Pie type smell) increases penile blood flow by 40 percent? Crazy right?

Ingredients: 2 cups Half & Half, Whole milk, or reduced fat or skim milk, 2 tablespoons Canned Pumpkin puree, 1 – 2 tablespoons sugar, stevia or splenda, 2 tablespoons vanilla extract, 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice, 1-4 shots espresso or very strong coffee, and (optional) I like to add some cinnamon over the top of mine to give it a little extra spice.

Directions: Brew your espresso or strong coffee. Combine half & half or milk, pumpkin, sugar, and pumpkin pie spices in a small saucepan. Heat until very hot, but do not boil. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Transfer to a blender or a milk frother and blend until frothy.
3. Pour 1 cup warm pumpkin milk mixture into coffee mug and add 1-4 coffee shots. Dust with more pumpkin pie spice if desired.

Enjoy the recipes and have a lovely fall filled with cuddling, caring and lots of loving underneath the sheets on these coming cold nights! 😉
