Put On Your Sexy Summer Face!

During the summer time, it can be hard to keep your face looking fresh and sexy, especially with the heat and humidity. Dull looking skin, breakouts, runny or blotchy makeup, and more can haunt us throughout the season, but looking your best in spite of the onslaught of high temperatures and sweat-inducing humidity is not impossible.

  • Exfoliate. Exfoliating your skin with a facial scrub (and body scrub if you are tanning or using self tanner) or mild exfoliant such as glycolic acid or other AHAs or BHAs ensure your skin looks fresh and glowing rather than dull and discolored. With the sweat of summer, dirt easily slips into pores and dead skin is more prevalent so exfoliating is really important to get that youthful glowing skin.
  • Use A Setting Powder. Using a setting powder over tinted moisturizer or foundation can really transform your  makeup in the summer. It creates a great matte look and also helps your makeup stay put during the hot day, preventing it from melting off your face. It can also help prevent breakouts by controlling oily skin.
  • SPF SPF SPF!!! Whatever your goals for summer, wearing a high SPF UVA/UVB broad spectrum sunblock or suncreen is of the UTMOST importance! Even if you plan to bake in the sun all day, you should still apply an SPF every 3-6 hours in order to protect your skin from premature aging and skin cancer. Trust me, if you want to tan, you’ll tan anyway by spending time in the sun even if you wear an SPF sunblock. Your skin and body with thank you!
  • Spray Toners & Hydrating Mists. Spray toners and hydrating mists for the face can be heavenly on hot days, especially if kept in the refrigerator.  Not only that, but these also work to tone, hydrate, and refresh your skin for the youthful glowy look all day long.
  • Bronzer & Glow Blush. Utilizing bronzer and blush during the summer can transform any look. If you’re going for that sun-kissed look with just a small tan, a light bronzer can give you the ultimate golden gleam. If you’re going the whole nine yards and your tan is a deeper shade, a darker bronzer or even just some light colored blush can really make your face glow from within.

Sex On A Budget: Bring Intimate Relaxation To Your Home!

In this economy, I know it’s hard. Believe me. But, that being said, I’m still a woman who wants to relax and visit a spa with my man for some mind-calming zen and intimacy. Now I really cannot afford to visit a high-end spa at the moment, especially given that their prices are so inflated, so I decided to bring the spa to our home. I mean, what better way to cool off (or heat up! 😉 this summer than by creating my own little spa paradise, right?

Here’s what I did and you can do it to for little to no cash!

First, create the space. Spas make the big bucks for a reason. They create a wonderful escape for people down to the last detail. Do the same; create your optimal environment for rest, relaxation and pleasure (if you want!) for the day or the whole weekend. Select relaxing and/or sexy sounds that can play in the background. Select color matching or all white towels if you plan on jumping in the bath or shower, exchanging massage treatments or something along those lines. Light candles with appealing scents or burn incense if you like. All of these things will create the environment that you both can enjoy and indulge in.

Second, decide how to treat yourselves. Do you have a pool or spa that you want to include or will you keep it private in the bath or shower? Do you want to treat your partner, they can treat you, or do you both agree to massage one another? Is it strictly relaxation or will it mix with pleasure? Will you include adult games of any sort? All of these things should be discussed in order to make the day and/or weekend the most fun for both of you.

Lastly, will you end the night with tasty treats? Do you wish to include food in your relaxing day/weekend? If so, light fruits and vegetables are highly recommended if you want to add pleasure to your weekend. Avoid any foods that are too heavy. Include wine or champagne if you wish and, if you prefer, a nice gourmet dinner at the end of the evening tops this relaxing getaway quite nicely!

6 Ways to Stay Cool for the Best Sex this Summer!

 

  1. This is an obvious one- turn on the air conditioning. I realize this isn’t the most economical option for most of us, but hey. just so you know, when the heat gets too out of control, turn on the A/C. Especially if you’re dealing with existing health conditions or you really want to have sex during the day, this is optimal.
  2. Run every fan you own then take turns spraying yourself and your partner with water using spray bottles. This is fun, sexy and definitely helps keep you cool in a very green way!
  3. Schedule your intimate moments at optimal times during the day. For instance, you may want to arrange this time to be in the early mornings or late evenings to avoid any extreme heat if you don’t want to run your A/C all the time.
  4. Have sex in the show (cold water please!) or take a dip in your pool (if you have one!) for some cool down time.
  5. Invest in a fun cooling lubricant! These are great for hot summer nights as they gently cool and calm while providing optimum lubrication during your most heated and passionate moments.
  6. Lastly, stay hydrated, avoid caffeine and alcohol which will immediately dehydrate you, and cool down with a refreshing beverage like water or the fun recipe below!

Refreshing Lime Mint Soda:

Ingredients: 1/2 Lime or Lime Juice, Lime Slices for garnish, 5 Mint Sprigs, Ice, and Club Soda.

Directions: Pour ice into a tall glass. Add the juice of half a lime and a few lime slices for garnish to the edge of your glass or directly into it. Squeeze a few of the mint sprigs to release its juice into your glass if you want it to be especially minty. Otherwise, simply place 1-3 mint sprigs as desired into your glass. Fill your glass with club soda as desired and enjoy!
